Gina-X Performance is a band formed in Cologne, Germany, in 1978, featuring the charismatic Gina Kikoine on vocals and lyrics, alongside writer-producer-musician Zeus B. Held. Between 1979 and 1981, they released three albums of cool arthouse electro-disco: "Nice Mover," "X-Traordinaire," and "Voyeur." In 1984, they released an album titled "Yinglish" under a different name. Their classic 1979 single "No G.D.M." became a club hit on both sides of the Atlantic and remains a cult classic, featured in electro/synthcore compilations like "Nag Nag Nag." The group's second single, "Nice Mover," is also a well-regarded track, appearing on the Andrew Weatherall compilation "Nine O'Clock Drop."
