Girma Hadgu, known as Major (Shaleqa) Girmay Hadgu, was a talented songwriter, composer, and instrument player born on November 8, 1928. He served in the Korean War and later returned to Ethiopia, where he joined the Kibur Zebegna band. Throughout his career, he composed, wrote, and arranged songs for prominent artists of his time. Girma Hadgu passed away on May 16, 2018.
