Γκούλαγκ is a Greek band from Thessaloniki, formed in December 1985. Their music blends punk, hardcore, metal, and melodic elements. The band had their first live performance in Athens at the "Vrahikikloma Club" in 1987 and embarked on their first European tour in 1988, performing in Norway, Germany, and Italy. They played at "Σινέ Αργώ" on February 8, 1988, and held a concert in Thessaloniki on September 30, 1988, alongside various other acts. In early 1990, they went on their second European tour, which included performances in Yugoslavia, Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium, and Italy. They continued to perform throughout the 1990s, including a notable concert at 'Παράρτημα' in Patra on January 22, 1994, and another at Πανεπιστήμιο in Thessaloniki on May 27, 1994. Their LP/CD "Πάτα Γερά" was released on May 13, 1996. The band has performed at various festivals and venues, including the 'Διεθνής Αμνηστία' festival in 2000 and the '80s Gathering' festival in 2012.
