Glen Campbell was an American singer, songwriter, musician, television host, and actor, born on April 22, 1936, in Delight, Arkansas, USA. He began his professional career as a studio musician in Los Angeles in 1958, primarily playing guitar and spending several years with the group of instrumentalists known as "The Wrecking Crew." Throughout his career, he recorded with various artists, including The Champs in 1960, the Hondells in 1964, the Beach Boys in 1965, and Sagittarius in 1967. Campbell hosted his own television show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, from 1968 to 1972. He also acted in films such as True Grit, Norwood, and Strange Homecoming, and provided his voice for the animated movie Rock-A-Doodle. In recognition of his contributions to music, he was inducted into The Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Glen Campbell passed away on August 8, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
