Glen Ricketts, also known as "Glen Ricks," is a talented songwriter, producer, and recording artist renowned for his exceptional vocal abilities, spanning a range from tenor to soprano. He has received two Juno Award nominations for "R&B/Soul Record Of The Year." In the mid-1970s, Glen was a member of the groundbreaking funk/R&B group "Crack Of Dawn," the first band of color signed to a major record label in Canada (CBS). As a solo artist, he achieved success in England and Jamaica with hits such as "Sitting In The Back Seat," "Falling In Love," "If Loving You Is Wrong," and "Keep On Dancing." His production credits include the influential album "Vision Of A Reggae King" by Dennis Brown, which blended "Lover's Rock" and "Dancehall" sensibilities. Glen has opened for notable acts like Kool and The Gang, Patti LaBelle, The Temptations, The Spinners, Lolita Holliway, and Natalie Cole. Often referred to as the Al Green of Jamaica, he has collaborated with prominent producers including Sly and Robbie, Bobby Digital, and Phillip Fattis Burrell, as well as his close friend Dennis Brown. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Glen is the sixth child of Arthur and Lillian Ricketts. He immigrated to Canada in 1967 at the age of 14 and attended Kitchener Waterloo Collegiate Institute
