Glenn Ricks, also known as Glenn Riccs, is a Jamaican-born singer whose musical journey began in Canada, where he moved as a child. His career took off in 1968 when he joined The Fabulous Flames, contributing to their 1969 hit "Holly Holy." After the group's dissolution in the 1970s, Ricks pursued a solo career, returning to Canada and securing a contract with RCA Records, facilitated by David Clayton-Thomas of Blood, Sweat & Tears. His solo work includes a notable rendition of Wilson Pickett's "I Found a Love." Ricks' style seamlessly blends reggae and soul, reflecting his rich musical heritage and diverse influences.
