Glitterbox is a UK indie band that originated in the early nineties. Initially known as She, they released two singles before attracting attention from various labels. The band eventually signed with Atlantic Records, but soon discovered that another band in the US had already claimed the name She. Rather than adopting a variation like "She UK" or "The London She," they chose to rename themselves Glitterbox, a name inspired by a scatalogical piece of Cockney rhyming slang.
