Gogi Grant was an American popular singer born on September 20, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She passed away on March 10, 2016, at the age of 91 in Los Angeles, California. Grant is best known for her No. 1 hit "The Wayward Wind," which topped the charts in 1956 and also reached #9 in the U.K. Throughout her career, she charted eight times in the U.S. between 1955 and 1967. Her second biggest hit, "Suddenly There's a Valley," peaked at #9 in 1955.
