Googoosh is an iconic Iranian singer and actress, born in Tehran on May 5, 1950. Following the Iranian Revolution in 1979, she chose to remain in Iran despite the ban on female artists from performing. After 20 years of silence, she left Iran in 2000 and began a world tour to mark her comeback. Currently, she resides in Los Angeles, California.
