Gordon Haskell was born on April 27, 1946, in Verwood, Dorset, England, and passed away on October 15, 2020. He first gained recognition as a bass player for a British band before moving to King Crimson, where he had a brief and challenging period. Haskell sang "Cadence And Cascade" on their second album and both sang and played bass on their third album. After leaving King Crimson, he pursued a solo career, releasing numerous albums and achieving a Christmas no. 2 single with "How Wonderful You Are" in 2001, as well as the album "Harry's Bar." In 2006, he published his autobiography and later moved to Greece, where he wrote his last album in 2020. He was the son of Harry T Hionides, the author of the Greek-English Collins dictionary.
