Gospel Oak is a band that was formed in London in 1969 by American expatriates, including future leader Matthew Kelly. Due to work permit issues, they were unable to perform in the UK, so they concentrated on rehearsing and writing an album. Their album was released in the autumn of 1970, by which time the band had returned to the United States.
