Grace was formed in 1995 in London, UK, initially under the name "State Of Grace." The group consisted of producers and featured vocals by Patti Low for their hit "Not Over Yet," released in 1995. Dominique Atkins joined the group after the release of "I Want To Live," and her vocals were later added to subsequent versions of "Not Over Yet," including the album version and U.S. release. However, Grace ceased to exist in 1997 when Paul Oakenfold could no longer balance the group with his DJ schedule. Following the dissolution of Grace, Dominique Atkins continued to pursue further projects in music and collaborations with DJs.
