Grandaddy is an American indie rock band hailing from Modesto, California. Formed in 1992, the band officially disbanded in January 2006 but reunited in March 2012. During their hiatus, lead singer and songwriter Jason Lytle pursued a solo career and formed another band, featuring drummer Aaron Burtch among others. Guitarist Jim Fairchild also released solo albums under a different moniker.
