Gratitude was an American alternative rock band active from 2003 to 2005, originating from San Francisco, California. The group was formed by Mark Weinberg, formerly of Crumb, and Thomas Becker of The Get Up Kids. They were later joined by bassist Bob Lindsey and vocalist Robby Cronholm, also from Crumb. After Cronholm's departure, Jonah Matranga of Far and Onelinedrawing took over as lead vocalist, prompting the band to rename themselves Gratitude. Their self-titled debut album, released in March 2005 under Atlantic Records, featured singles like "Drive Away" and "This Is the Part," which received significant radio play in both the U.S. and the U.K. Gratitude's sound blended elements of emo, alternative rock, and pop punk, drawing comparisons to bands like Jimmy Eat World. Despite their promising start, the band disbanded in November 2005. ([en.wikipedia.org](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gratitude_%28band%29?utm_source=openai))
