Groep 1850, also known as Group 1850, was a psychedelic rock band from Den Haag (the Hague) in The Netherlands. Founded in 1964 as the Klits, they changed their name to Groep 1850 in 1966 when they released their debut single on the small Yep label, which had a limited pressing. After signing with Philips, they released more singles, and their debut album, "Agemo's Trip To Mother Earth," came out in late 1968. The album's cover featured a 3D image and included a pair of 3D glasses, with unperforated copies being especially sought after today. Despite their efforts, the UK release did not help the band gain recognition outside of Holland, leading to Philips dropping them. Their next album, "Paradise Now," was released on the Dutch Discofoon label in 1969. After the album's release, the band disbanded but regrouped soon after, remaining sporadically active throughout the 1970s. Notable releases during this time included the single "Fire b/w Have You Ever Heard?" in 1971 on Polydor and their final studio album, "Polyandri," in 1975.
