Groundhogs were an English blues and progressive rock band formed in late 1963. They gained prominence in the early 1970s and toured extensively throughout the 1960s, continuing sporadically into the 21st century. The band's sole constant member was Tony McPhee, who handled guitar and vocals, and they typically performed as a power trio despite numerous personnel changes. Groundhogs remained active until their retirement in 2014, after which their first drummer launched a spinoff.
