Group Modular is a musical collaboration between Markey Funk, known for Delights 45, and Mule Driver, recognized for Confused Machines and The Models. The duo took their name while working on unfinished recordings by the mysterious figure Mordy Laye. Their efforts culminated in the release of the album "The Mystery of Mordy Laye" in 2012, which was made possible through a successful crowdfunding campaign. Despite the elusive nature of Laye, Markey Funk and Mule Driver continued to collaborate, crafting their own interpretation of the drum-heavy, synth-centric library and film music reminiscent of the 1970s.
