Grupo Amigos is a rock band from Lima, Peru, formed in the early seventies. The original lineup included Edmundo Delgado (guitar and vocals), Andrés Da Ros (guitar and vocals), Simón Ames (guitar), and Jorge Vásquez (drums). Initially, they went unnoticed, but in 1970, influenced by their favorite bands, they began composing their own songs. By 1973, they felt ready to record an album and chose the label Mag, where their friend Saúl Cornejo, a sound engineer known for his work with Laghonia and We All Together, was employed. Recognizing the quality of Grupo Amigos' material, Saúl contributed keyboards and brought in his brother Manuel Cornejo to play drums.
