Grupo De Experimentación Sonora Del ICAIC is a Cuban experimental band founded in 1969 by Alfredo Guevara, the president of the Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos (ICAIC). The band was established to explore new sounds that deviated from the traditional folklore of Cuban music. It was directed by Leo Brouwer.
