Guido and Maurizio De Angelis are Italian musicians born in Rocca di Papa, near Rome, on December 22, 1944, and February 22, 1947, respectively. Their musical career began in 1963 when they published a successful LP and became arrangers. The brothers gained recognition as some of the most prolific Italian musicians of the 1970s, often using different names for their projects to avoid market saturation. They are best known for their soundtrack work, particularly for the 1983 cult movie "Yor, the Hunter from the Future," and for their compositions for Terence Hill comedies, including the hit song "Dune Buggy" from "Watch Out, We're Mad." In addition to their film work, the De Angelis brothers composed original songs for Italian-dubbed anime such as "Doraemon," "Ashita no Joe," and "Galaxy Express 999," as well as for European series like "Around the World with Willy Fog." They also created the title song for the "Sandokan" series, based on E. Salgari's novel, and are recognized for writing the themes for "Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds" and "Bobobobs."
