**Bio:** GWAR is a band that originated in 1982 under the name Death Piggy and rebranded as GWAR in 1984. Composed of a group of art students from Richmond, Virginia, they have explored various musical styles, including punk, hard rock, thrash, and heavy metal. Known for their elaborate costumes, props, sets, and characters, GWAR creates a unique theatrical experience in their stage shows and films. The current lineup includes a.k.a. on vocals (2014-present, formerly bass), a.k.a. on guitar (1988-present), a.k.a. on drums (1989-present), a.k.a. on guitar (2012-present), and a.k.a. on bass (various periods including 1994-1997, 1999-2002, 2008-2011, 2019-present). Notable former members include a.k.a. (vocals, 1984-2014, RIP 3/24/14), a.k.a. (guitar, 2002-2011, RIP 11/3/11), and Vulvatron (vocals, 2014-2015).
