H-Bomb Ferguson, born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1931, is an American Blues vocalist who began his music career in 1950. He initially joined a tour and later became part of a combo that brought him to New York. Through this opportunity, he secured a spot at Harlem's Club Baby Grand, adopting the stage name "The Cobra Kid." This success led to a recording contract, and in 1958, he began recording as H-Bomb Ferguson & The Mad Lads. The group's last recordings took place in late 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he continued to reside permanently.
