H Bomb Ferguson is an American blues vocalist born in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1931. He began his music career in 1950, touring with a group before joining a combo that brought him to New York. There, he performed at Harlem's Club Baby Grand under the stage name "The Cobra Kid," which led to a recording contract. In 1958, he started recording as H-Bomb Ferguson & The Mad Lads. The last recordings for this group were made in late 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he continued to live permanently.
