Hajime Tachibana is a guitarist and saxophonist, best known as a founding member of the Japanese new wave and electro pop band Plastics. After the band's break-up in 1981, he released seven solo albums through various labels, including YEN/Alfa, School/Midi, Toshiba EMI, and For Life. He also formed the group project Hajime Tachibana & Low Powers. In recent years, Tachibana has participated in several Plastics reunion events and recordings. He was a member of The Chill in 2007 and Hm in 2022. His 2002 solo album, The End, featured ring tones and short pieces, marking the last album released under his own name in traditional formats. In 2013, he released his album Monaco on a memory stick, followed by GalleriAprotia in 2014 as a download-only release. In 2019, a reformed Low Powers released Low Powers With The Friends, another download-only album mainly consisting of re-recordings from the 1997 album. His name in Japanese is 立花ハジメ.
