Hank Cochran was born on August 2, 1935, in Isola, Mississippi, USA, and passed away on July 15, 2010, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, USA. He was a Nashville singer and songwriter known for penning many famous country songs, which have been recorded by some of country music's biggest stars as well as pop artists. Cochran was inducted into several prestigious halls of fame, including the America's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005, the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2014, and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1974. He was also a member of the California Hayride.
