Hank Mizell was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter born on November 9, 1923, in Daytona Beach, Florida. He passed away on December 23, 1992, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. After serving in the military during World War II, he settled in Montgomery, Alabama, where he formed a band with a guitarist. Mizell is best remembered for his single "Jungle Rock," which, although obscure upon its original release, became a #3 hit in the UK during the 1970s.
