Hank Snow was a Canadian country artist born on May 9, 1914, in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, Canada. He passed away on December 20, 1999, in Madison, Tennessee, USA. Over his more than 50-year career, Snow recorded 140 albums and became known for his clear baritone voice, guitar skills, and songwriting abilities. He achieved significant success on the Billboard country charts, with over 85 singles between 1950 and 1980, including his self-penned #1 hits "I'm Moving On" and "The Golden Rocket." "I'm Moving On" notably tied a chart record by spending 21 weeks at the #1 position. Snow's journey from hardship to success serves as inspiration, and he is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. In 2017, he was portrayed in the CMT series "Sun Records," and in 2022, he appeared in the film "Elvis."
