Hank Williams was a legendary American country singer and songwriter, celebrated as one of the most influential artists in the country music field. He was born on September 17, 1923, in Mount Olive, Alabama, and passed away on January 1, 1953, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, at the young age of 29. Williams is known for his iconic songs, including "Your Cheatin' Heart," "Hey Good Lookin'," and "I Saw The Light." He was married from 1944 to 1952 and then to another partner in 1952 until his death. He was the father of several children and the grandfather of multiple grandchildren. His great-grandson, Hank III, is also involved in recording and performing music. Hank Williams was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1961 as one of the three original members, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 as an Early Influence.
