Hansson & Karlsson was a Swedish late instrumental jazz rock and psychedelia duo formed in 1967 and disbanded in 1969. Their music was heavily based on improvisations, leading to varied and unique live performances. The duo became acquainted with Jimi Hendrix, performing together on a few occasions, including at the club Filips in Stockholm. Hendrix showed interest in their music and recorded their composition "Tax Free." The duo's name is spelled "Hansson & Karlsson" due to a misunderstanding by a poster painter, who wrote Karlsson with a K. Bosse and Janne liked the spelling and decided to keep it.
