Hansson & Karlsson was a Swedish instrumental jazz rock and psychedelia duo formed in 1967 and disbanded in 1969. Their music was heavily based on improvisation, leading to varied and unique live performances. The duo became acquainted with Jimi Hendrix, who expressed interest in their music and recorded their composition "Tax Free." The unusual spelling of their name, with "Karlsson" using a K instead of a C, originated from a misunderstanding by a poster painter, which the duo decided to keep as it looked appealing to them.
