Happy Couple is a music duo consisting of Jane and Tom, who began their journey as a DJ outfit in Brunswick, Lower Saxony. In 2003, they relocated to Hamburg and established their own record label, Félicité Singles Club, which released 7" singles from artists such as Simon Fisher Turner, Roy Moller, and The Catalysts. They celebrated the launch of their label in Glasgow in June 2003 after performing at "How Does it Feel To Be Loved" in London. The duo released their debut EP, The Four Seasons EP, in October 2003 and played their first gig in Athens, Greece, in January 2004, subsequently performing in Italy, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany throughout that year. In March 2005, they released their second EP, Fools In Love, through the US label Matinée Recordings, which was recorded and produced by The Void and featured Roy Moller as a special guest. Before going on hiatus in 2006, they released a vinyl single titled "Song For The Troubadour," featuring Stevie Jackson of Belle & Sebastian on harmonica, along with a remix by Erobique. An alternate mix was also released on Slumberland Records in the US. In November 2006, Japanese label Quince Records released their compilation, Happy Times & Petty Crimes, which included previously unreleased tracks and their contribution to the Television Personalities Tribute Album.
