**Happy Mondays** Formed in 1982 in Salford, Greater Manchester, UK, Happy Mondays are a rock/acid house fusion group that emerged from the "madchester" scene of the late 1980s to mid-1990s. They are legendary for their on and off stage antics, often fueled by alcohol and drugs. Lead singer Mark Berry and dancer Bez were particularly known for their wild behavior, with Bez gaining fame for his unique dancing style during live performances. One notable story involves the band recording their album "...Yes Please!" in Barbados at a studio owned by a well-known figure, as their managers sought to distance them from the UK’s drink and drugs scene. However, they encountered significant drug issues in Barbados, leading to band members attempting to sell studio equipment to fund their substance use. The band disbanded in 1992, reformed in 1999, disbanded again in 2000, and then reformed once more in 2004. The original lineup reunited in 2012.
