Hardnoise is a collective formed by DJ Son, DJ Nyce 'D', and T.L.P.1, who were friends from school and college. They initially collaborated with DJ AJ and Gemini to create their first track, "Pure Destructive Power," which remains unreleased. Their debut release, "Untitled," became a significant underground British rap tune that utilized the iconic 'Apache' sample. This track was produced by DJ Son, T.L.P.1, and Mastermix, featuring cuts by DJ Son and the newest member, AKA DJ. It was a self-financed project that caught the attention of Music Of Life, who signed them. Their second release was the single "Mice In The Presence Of The Lion / Serve Tea Then Murder," showcasing each MC's unique style through solo tracks. Unfortunately, this was their last release, and they disappeared from the scene just as mysteriously as they emerged. However, the members continued to pursue their individual projects. "AJ" has been producing beats and regularly releases mixtapes titled "A.J's Planet of the Beats." Gemini worked on the Bushkilla tracks and was reportedly in the studio under the name "Bloodhound." DJ Son is active in the London club scene, spinning a mix of soul, funk, breaks, and rap. There have been no updates on T.L.P.1, though rumors suggest he still writes lyrics. Another member is also still involved, running a website dedicated to British rap.
