Hardrock Gunter was born on February 27, 1925, in Birmingham, Alabama, and passed away on March 15, 2013. He was a talented US singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his contributions to Rhythm and Blues, Country, and Rockabilly music. In the 1960s, Gunter left the music industry to pursue a career in insurance in Colorado. He eventually retired in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Throughout his career, he faced miscrediting on many record labels for the song "Where Have You Been (All My Life)," which was actually written by another artist, due to the similarity in titles.
