Hatis Noit is a female vocalist originally from Shiretoko, Hokkaido, Japan, and is now based in London. She draws on her experiences in ballet, theatre, traditional folk music, koto, and gagaku, the court music of ancient Japan. The name "Hatis Noit" is inspired by the stem of the lotus flower in Japanese folklore.
