Hayseed Dixie is a bluegrass group based in Nashville, formed in 2000, known for their humorous covers of rock, metal, and pop songs. They gained fame with their debut album, "A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC," released in 2001, which led to significant airplay on radio shows worldwide. By 2003, they had three albums in the Bluegrass Billboard Charts' top 15, establishing themselves as a prominent act in the genre. In 2005, Hayseed Dixie performed on the main stage at Glastonbury and launched their annual festival, Loopallu, in Ullapool, Scotland. The following year, they played at the Download Festival and Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The band also created an alter-ego project called Kerosene Brothers to promote their original songs, releasing their debut album "Choose Your Own Title" in 2003. Brothers Dale and Don Wayne Reno left the band in 2013 to form Reno And Harrell and were replaced by Johnny Butten, a Guinness World Record holder for fastest banjo player, and Hippy Joe Hymas. In 2015, their album "Hair Down To My Grass" reached the top of the UK Country Chart for three weeks, leading to a performance on Jools Holland's Hootenanny New Year's Eve BBC TV show.
