Heatmiser was an American indie rock band formed in Portland in 1991. The band consisted of Elliott Smith and Neil Gust on guitar and vocals, Brandt Peterson and later Sam Coomes on bass, and Tony Lash on drums. Heatmiser disbanded in 1996 following the success of the first two solo albums by Elliott Smith.
