Hector Costita is a Brazilian-based Argentinian sax and flute player, born in Buenos Aires in 1934. He settled in São Paulo in 1956 and was part of Sérgio Mendes' band from 1962 to 1964. In 1964, he founded his own band and recorded the seminal album "Impacto." From 1973 to 1981, Costita joined a big band. Throughout his career, he has performed and recorded with various artists. In 2023, he toured as a special guest of a singer on the tour that celebrated 60 years of the "Getz/Gilberto" album.
