Heinrich Schutz was a German composer and organist born on October 8, 1585, in Köstritz, Germany. He passed away on November 6, 1672, in Dresden, Germany. Schutz is generally regarded as the most important German composer before the Baroque period and is often considered one of the most significant composers of the 17th century.
