Helen Reddy was an Australian-American singer and actress born on October 25, 1941, in Melbourne, Australia. She passed away on September 29, 2020, in Los Angeles, USA. Reddy moved to the United States in 1966 after winning a talent contest on Australian Bandstand. She achieved significant success in 1971 while under the management of her former husband, whom she was married to from 1968 to 1983. Reddy became a naturalized American citizen in December 1974. In addition to her music career, Reddy acted in several films, including Airport 75, Pete's Dragon, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. By 2001, she expressed a desire to work in the help professions, leading her to retire from live performance in 2002. She returned to Australia, obtained a degree in clinical hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming, and became a motivational speaker. In 2011, Reddy made a brief return to live performing, singing "Breezin' Along With The Breeze" with her half-sister for Toni's birthday. She returned to live in Los Angeles around 2015, where she would later pass away at the age of 78. Reddy published her autobiography, The Woman I Am (A Memoir), in 2006. In 2019, an Australian biopic titled I Am Woman, directed by Unjoo Moon, was released
