Henri Salvador was a French Caribbean comedian, singer, musician, humorist, TV personality, label manager, author, and composer. Born on July 18, 1917, in Cayenne, French Guiana, he passed away on February 13, 2008, in Paris. Salvador began his long career performing with his brother and later joined various jazz bands. After World War II, he embarked on a solo career and created many classic songs. He is regarded as a pioneer of French rock 'n' roll, collaborating with a friend in this genre. Additionally, he founded his own record labels, "Disques Salvador" and "Rigolo," in 1964. In the 1970s, he sang French versions of songs for Disney cartoons.
