Henri Texier is a French jazz double bassist and composer, born on January 27, 1945, in Paris. He began his musical career in the 1960s, collaborating with notable musicians such as Jean-Luc Ponty, Jean-Louis Chautemps, Michel Portal, and François Jeanneau. He later performed with renowned American jazz artists alongside Daniel Humair. Throughout his career, Texier formed bands with prominent European jazz musicians, including Michel Portal, Aldo Romano, Louis Sclavis, Bernard Lubat, and Glenn Ferris.
