Henry David Cain, Jr. was a talented musician born in 1935. He passed away in Las Vegas on May 10, 2005. Henry learned music at an early age and graduated from Cathedral High School before attending Indiana University. In the 1950s, he played piano with several musicians in Indianapolis and, alongside drummer Albert Coleman and bassist Will Scott, formed The Three Souls Jazz Trio (also known as The 3 Souls) in 1954. The trio remained active until the 1990s and recorded for Chess, Checker, and Argo, including the hit "Night Theme," which showcased Henry's keyboard and musical talents. Throughout his career, he collaborated with numerous musicians and vocalists in California and recorded the album "The Funk Organization of Henry Cain."
