Het Zweet is the solo project of Marien Van Oers, a native of Breda in the Netherlands, who was active from 1983 to approximately 1988. Though not a group, he sometimes performed with his then-girlfriend Giny Canjels. Het Zweet's music featured long percussion pieces played on self-built instruments, such as amplified shopping trolleys and blown cardboard tubes, accompanied by repetitive shouted vocals from Marien. While often associated with the industrial genre, Het Zweet focused more on tribal music, physicality, and trance effects. During concerts, Marien frequently collaborated with other musicians. Marien Van Oers passed away on January 8, 2013.
