Hi Five is a U.S. R&B group that was formed in 1990 in Waco, Texas. The original members included Tony Thompson, Roderick Clark, Marcus Sanders, Russell Neal, and Toriano Easley. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1990, produced with notable assistance, and achieved Gold certification in the United States. The album featured their biggest hit, "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game)," which also received Gold certification. After the first album, Easley was replaced by Treston Irby. Tragically, Tony Thompson passed away in 2007 due to a freon overdose. In a separate incident, on July 2, 2014, former member Russell Neal was charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of his wife in Houston. Additionally, former member Roderick “Pooh” Clark died on April 17, 2022, at the age of 49.
