Hide Demon, whose real name is Hideo Kato (加藤秀男), was born on December 15, 1942, and passed away on June 17, 1990. He began his career in 1962 as an actor in films produced by Nikkatsu studio, using the stage name Eiji Mizuki (水木 英二). That same year, he made his debut as a solo singer on Toshiba Records with the song "Tokyo Romantic Guy." He later adopted the name Hide Demon and formed the group "Yuki and Hide" in 1966 with Yuki Sato (佐藤由紀), who would later perform as Yuki Fuji (藤ユキ) and Ann Mariko (アン真理子). In 1968, he established the duo "Hide and Rosanna" with Rosanna Zambon, who was born in Italy and eventually became his wife. Rosanna's brother, Flaviano Zambon, was a member of Casanova Sette.
