Hidrogenesse is an art-electronic rock duo formed by Carlos Ballesteros and Genís Segarra in Barcelona in 1996. They aimed to create a conceptual band in the style of KLF, using various music genres as a medium to express their ideas. Over the years, they have explored a range of styles including synth-pop reminiscent of Human League, instrumental italodisco, ceremonial ballads, glitter rock, progressive music, 90's dance, sophisticated pop, and fake rock’n’roll. As founding members of the Austrohungaro collective and party organizers, they have released five albums that have garnered critical and media acclaim. Their more recent works, "Animalitos" (2007) and its companion album "Bestiola" (2008), showcase their artistic talent and ambitions. These twelve tracks, inspired by different bugs and creatures and influenced by 70’s music (glitter and kraut rock), reflect their unique perspective on the world.
