**Bio: Him & The Others** Him & The Others were formed in 1964 when a drummer and bassist left their former group to start anew with a local vocalist. After placing advertisements in Melody Maker, they completed their lineup with two guitarists. The group quickly gained a following by playing at top clubs around London and the home counties, supporting major acts and serving as a backing group for chart singer Peter Fenton. They also appeared in the British film "Mini Weekend," filmed during one of their gigs at the renowned London club, Tiles. Him & The Others recorded one single on a label that received rave reviews but did not achieve chart success. In 1967, following a member's departure, they changed their name to The Hand. With a member switching to bass, they shifted their style to a more progressive/blues orientation. The band ultimately disbanded about a year later. Following the split, George and Geoff formed a new group, while another member joined a progressive band, and another returned to his blues roots by forming a band with a future member of a well-known group.
