Hiroshi Yoshimura (October 22, 1940 – October 23, 2003) was a Japanese musician and composer, recognized as a pioneer of Japanese ambient music (環境音楽, Kankyō ongaku). Born in Yokohama, he began his music career in 1972 by forming the computer music group 'Anonyme' and released his first album, 'Music For Nine Post Cards,' in 1982. In addition to solo performances and improvisational music, Yoshimura created sound design for various art venues, corporations, public services, and events. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Waseda University and served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Music Design at Kunitachi College of Music and in the Department of Industrial Design at Chiba University. He also participated in workshops at museums, particularly the Meguro Museum of Art.
