Hirth Martinez was a talented singer-songwriter and guitarist born on August 21, 1945, in East Los Angeles, CA, USA. He began his career as a solo recording artist with the support of Bob Dylan, leading to the release of his first two critically acclaimed albums, "Hirth From Earth" and "Big Bright Street," both released on Warner Bros. Records and later reissued on Warner Bros. Japan. Hirth was a prolific writer, having composed thousands of songs and poems. His musical style encompassed a variety of genres, including Jobim-styled sambas, ballads, blues, and jazz, characterized by sophisticated melodies, haunting lyrics, and beautiful rhymes. Hirth Martinez passed away on October 6, 2015.
